Knit for Peace are running low on yarn after responding to requests from community groups, homeless hostels and care homes for yarn and needles. They are keen to receive donations of spare yarn now so that they can continue to send out care packages.
Knit for Peace are asking that you hold on to knitted donations for a while as they only have one member of staff working in the office. When they do reopen they will require:
- Large blankets
- Lap blankets
- Shawls (triangular and rectangular)
- Soft toys and teddies
- Adult jumpers
- Newborn cardigans
- Mittens, gloves and socks for adults and children
They don’t need any children’s clothing and they have plenty of baby clothing other than newborn cardigans.
