Francis House Children’s Hospice have launched their annual Easter knitted chick appeal for 2023. They’re asking knitters and crocheters to send them their handcrafted chicks. Knitting and crochet patterns for a chick and a bunny can be downloaded from the event website but crafters are encouraged to be creative and customise their makes.
Donated chicks will be filled with chocolate eggs and sold in schools, stores and businesses around the Greater Manchester area to raise funds for the hospice.
Easter chicks need to arrive with the charity by 6th March 2023, any arriving after this date will be early for the 2024 event! Full details and where to send your chicks can be found on the Easter Chick Knit page of the Francis House Children’s Hospice website.
Francis House are also appealing for donations of Creme Eggs to fill the chicks, this can be done via their Amazon Wishlist or with a donation towards the cost.
