Fibre East – 27th & 28th July 2019
Redborne Upper School, Ampthill, Beds
MK45 2NU
Just 30 days to go!!
We’re beginning to get very excited
Have you checked to see if your favourite exhibitor is coming this year? We have 146 traders plus guilds and other demonstrations going on.
It will be a great day out for everyone.
Just a 10 minute drive from J12 of the M1 – we are easy to get to from most parts of the country. From the east we are just over 2 hrs from Norwich and 40 minutes from Cambridge.
Trains come in directly from Brighton & London. From the North there are direct trains into Flitwick from Nottingham, Leicester and Sheffield. (some routes do sometimes have one change). Fibre East is a 5 minute taxi ride from the station and in previous years, visitors have got chatting on the train and shared the fare! What have you got to lose?Contact Fibre East
We have some really lovely exhibitors this year, some you won’t have seen at Fibre East before and some old favourites. Fox in the City Knits is new to us for 2019 and I personally think Fox is a little darling. He works very hard in his garden and then relaxes with his knitting in his cosy dressing gown. A fox after my own heart! But don’t take my word for it……
FOX IN THE CITY KNITS
Daniella created Foxy , a knitted character that came about after being inspired by her sister Venice’s drawings of her character ‘Fox in the City’. Venice has been drawing him for several years now and is currently working towards publishing a series of illustrated story books featuring him.
“Being a knitter and designer I decided to give him a physical and tactile life as a knitted toy for adults and children alike. I have also designed clothing and accessories for him and am continually creating more of these to add to his expanding wardrobe. Foxy is an urban fox whose character and tastes are very much guiding me to what I design for him. He has many hobbies including shopping, knitting, cycling, making pancakes, drinking cappuccino and going to the cinema. Foxy is available as a kit to knit which includes the pattern, yarn and natural fleece stuffing to make your own Foxy. There are also single patterns for his clothes and accessories. Please come and meet Foxy in The Cotswold Marquee. You can see his full wardrobe in my Etsy shop www.etsy.com“
