ShetlandPeerieMakkers, which offers free tuition in hand-knitting in Shetland techniques to Shetland youngsters in order to encourage a future culture of Shetland knitting, is currently crowdfunding to raise funds to continue their activities after their current funding ends in mid 2020. There are various rewards for supporting the crowdfunder including knitting patterns, knitted items and holiday accommodation in Shetland.
