Christmas Jumper Day 2020 is taking place this Friday, 11th December in aid of Save The Children. The idea is that on the day you wear your silliest Christmas jumper and make a donation to the charity.
If, like me, you want to join in but you’ve left it too late to cast on and bind off a new jumper before Friday then I have a few ideas which don’t involve a trip to the supermarket or a last minute online order.
The top picture is my daughter’s Puddle Duck by Melissa Schaschwary with a knitted Christmas tree temporarily tacked onto it. I’ve not harmed the jumper and the Christmas tree can be safely removed and stuck on another jumper or used elsewhere next year.
This is my other daughter’s Flax by Tin Can Knits with a crocheted snowman tacked to the front.
I’m hoping to have a sparkly star on mine by Friday but in case it doesn’t happen I’ve raided the Christmas decorations and my jumper drawer for some other options.
