The first Cockenzie Yarn Festival will be held on Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th July 2020 and will celebrate all things ‘local wool’. They hope to include stalls, classes, knitting ‘hubs’ and demonstrations including spinning, knitting, crochet, stitching, dying and shearing. Explore, investigate and browse every stage of wool making from Betty and Elsie, the two much loved Wensleydale Sheep, to final knitted garments and everything you may need along the way.
